Your Value and Self Worth
Greetings of Peace to all:
In developing into the "authentic" you God has designed you to be, it's important to begin to esteem yourself as God esteems you. It's important to evaluate your self-esteem!
Is your self-esteem positive, high-quality, and healthy self-esteem... the kind of esteem God desires you to have? Or is it negative, low-quality, unhealthy self-esteem? It's essential as people struggling with eating disorders that we evalulate this. It most likely is not good news but that is ok because the good news is the Lord and savior can turn this around. Ask Him and pray to Him regarding the thoughts feeling and emotions that may line up in negative patterns. Psychologist know the deep pathways of low -self esteem that people who have eating disorders have and are admittedly at a loss as to how to turn this around. But He can turn this around for you. Seek Him and all His ways and He will not leave you or abandon you. He is there to support you One- on- One to get you going into your recovery. He wants that direct relationship so that He can guide you through the pitfalls or encourage you to continue when you are exhausted or its seems like such a never ending battle and it is for those who do not know that blood of Christ and the mercy and healing that is in the power of his most precious gift to us.
Here are three essential components to developing the self-esteem God desires for you:
Measure yourself by His Yard Stick
. A sense of unconditional worth and value.
This means believing you are valuable regardless of what anyone else says or thinks - knowing with inner certainty that you are precious, unique, and growing into His concept of you- not your own. A sense of unconditional worth and value.
This means believing you are valuable regardless of what anyone else says or thinks - knowing with inner certainty that you are precious, unique, and "all that!". The ability to grow and share that comes out of your sense of unconditional worth and unconditional love.
Once the first two components are in place, a natural upward spiral of growing, loving, and sharing of yourself, your talents, and your blessings will manifest out of your positive, high-quality, and healthy self-esteem!
So take the time to discover where you are in this process... evaluate your self-esteem!
Blessings
Paula Mary
